Why Self-Esteem is Important? Psychologist Castle Hill Explains

                                                 Self-esteem = Success

Self-esteem sometimes called self-respect is an important part of human life. It’s an overall worth of the person. According to self-esteem expert Morris Rosenberg, self-esteem is quite simply one’s attitude toward oneself. Having low self-esteem can leave people to fall into depression. High self-esteem people might sometime exhibit personality disorder which can destroy personal relationships. Factors that influence self-esteem are genetics, personality, life experiences, age, health, thoughts, etc. So it's important to maintain a balance between both high and low levels. It should be maintained somewhere in the middle. Psychologist Castle Hill explains self-esteem as how much you appreciate and like yourself

Why it is important?

  1. Confident in your ability to make decisions:  It helps the person to make important decisions in his life and on other's life as well. It helps the person to feel confident and make him feel good forever thing or decision he is making in his life. It gives some sense to life
  2. Realistic in your expectations: It is purely realistic in nature. A self-esteemed the person will always optimistic about his life. It is just like motivation. If you motivate yourself for good things, everything will go as per your expectations and vice versa.
  3. It affects Happiness: Everyone wants to live a happy life. Life is tough and challenging at the same time. One has to go through from so many phases of life sometime it will be good sometime it will be bad. But if you are optimistic about your life then nothing will stop you from being happy.
It’s a difference between success and failure: You need not be a “Yes Man” all the time. Sometimes it is good to say “NO” as well. Success comes to those who believe in themselves. You need to know yourself first and work on yourself accordingly. Do push yourself on things you don’t want to become or things you don’t want to do. Push your limits on those things that make you feel happy. Be your own moderator.
